Adobe just launched a new designing tool called Edge for online business owners using JavaScript, CSS3 and, (pay attention to this) HTML 5– That suppose to compete and take the place of Adobe famous Flash technology…
Adobe Edge, which creatively enough has the same name as Adobe’s newsletter, don’t support Flash and as for this moment it is the only professional tool for HTML5 designing. It is currently free but don’t expect it to stay like this, it is now probably free just to gather some feedback.
I think that many of you can find this tool very helpful while working from home- It can improve your websites and blogs incredibly by animated web content and also remain SEO compatible. It looks like finally there is a tool that can improve the user experience on sites without hurting search rankings…
As for Adobe, i actually think its a good move by this company even though it can (and probably will) damage Flash technology, because Adobe also knows that HTML 5 is the future web language. Instead of holding disappearing technology they preferred to reinforce their name as the top tools provider of web designs. I think there is a pretty nice lesson about business here…
Here is a video to demonstrate some of Adobe Edge features:
