While the daily deals trend continued to grow and the earnings of its bitter rival Google are climbing with Offers, Microsoft’s daily deals service, Bing Deals, was limping… So, Microsoft reorganized and redesigned it and launched a new Bing Deals.
While the main concept of Bing Deals to serve as a mediator between the users and the many coupon sites out there remained the same, the new look and interface provides a much better experience to browse for deals.
Below the search box there are 3 rotating “top deals of the day” boxes, below them there are “the top stores” boxes and furthermore down, it is possible to browse through shopping categories.
The Bing Deals goal is to gather deals from many sources all over the web (Groupon, LivingSocial, Target and more) and to deliver them to the users orderly in one place as a daily deals portal, which is reasonably achieved.
At the announcing blog post, Bing are stating that it is just the beginning and more features will arrive in the next few weeks. While many companies online are focusing on develop and create new daily deals services, Bing strategy is to centralized all of them in a “one-stop shop”. On the surface it sounds like a good idea and if it will stick, maybe it will give Bing the push it needs so much…
